DIY: Recycled candle Jar
Candles can be expensive and when you spend $65 on Jo Malone candle, you better reuse that glass. Most candle jars are made of thicker glass anyway than regular jars made to storage your cotton balls, Q-tips & etc. Here are the easy steps you need to take once your candle can no longer be lit.
1. Put the glass in the freezer then take it out after atleast two hrs. I have accidently left it in the freezer overnight before, nothing happens, just make sure the candle is frozen. The cold temperature will cause the wax to shrink.
2. Take a dull knife and loosen the sides of the candle till you can tab the wax completely out.
3. There will be some small wax residue on the jar so take an oil or vinegar solution to get the remains off, leaving it streak-free.
4. After all the wax is removed, I suggest running the jar through your dishwasher to fully santiize the jar.

    lovely concept !

    andymurraydesign:

    Blindry

Blindry is a brilliant window blind that turns into a fold-down laundry rack for drying clothes indoors. Perfect for small apartments, where floor space is often too limited to accomodate drying racks, the item brings multi-functionality to the new level. No wonder its designers, Kim Bobin and Ko Kyungeun, were awarded the prestigious Red Dot award for the concept.

  • Step 277: Do not expect kudos for being decent

    adulting:

    Let’s say you are a non-racist, thoughtful-to-LGBTQA folks, non-sexist, bill-paying-on-time, recycling-sorting, never-kicks-puppies kind of person:

To you I say, and mean it, congratulations. That is awesome. Take a second and feel nice about yourself.

All done? Good. Because those are not things that make you worthy of praise. That shit is standard. Do not expect others to pat you on the back for a lack of assholishness. Pat yourself, and others, on the back when it is merited.

Setting myself up a schedule where I clean at least 1 section of my house/room a day.  Today I actually did 2, well 1 1/2 since I was really finishing up my desk from last night.  Where do all those papers come from?  They just seem to multiply on their own.

    Now to the pictures.
